Mission 001: Invade their Privacy

I’ll have you know, this is the fifth attempt I’ve made at writing an introduction because each time it has just turned into a damp sod of misery.
So this time I plan to take a double Cheery-pacino and show how much fun I am!!!!!!!!!!!
The exclamation marks rate how fun I am out of 10. As you can see, I'm an eleven.
WOOOOOH! introductions! Are you excited? Cos man, I’m so fucking excited.

Hi I’m Kate and I will be your guide today and every Wednesday until I lose the temporary motivation my imaginary coffee has given me and decide I just want to watch re-runs of Malcom in the Middle and eat ice-cream. (I totally forgot how much I love that show.)
You think this has gotten depressing already? You should read the first four, they’d make you want to eat junk food and watch 90’s comedy shows. (On the topic of 90’s comedies - why are they so much better than Naughties comedy?)

Anyway I don’t want to list out my interests and whatever because that doesn’t make for a very entertaining read unless you write like a God, which I don’t.
Also I don’t particularly like how people are defined by the things they like rather than how they think about stuff, which I think is more interesting. But then again it’s more difficult to introduce someone to your way of thinking. That sort of just happens over time. Maybe that’s what I’m trying to do right now as I ramble on and avoid the actual topic of introducing myself.

Let’s throw you a bone, shall I?
My current obsession is supernatural goings on and ‘real’ magic.
Last weekend I went to a haunted house, Loftus House in Wexford - a fun day out for all the family! (I promised you fun didn’t I?)
The devil himself allegedly visited the house in 1756. Hopefully I will post a blog about it soon on my personal blog insearchofthought.tumblr.com.
(First blog post and I’m already shamelessly self-promoting. Whoop whoop! btw brackets also represent fun lolololol. I need to stop this.)
I’m also sort of stalking Keith Barry at the moment, who if you didn’t know is a world renowned Mentalist, Hypnotist and Magician hailing from my beautiful country Ireland in the county of Waterford. So I’m trying to make up my mind on how much of this crazy shit I believe in because it’s clear that some really freaky stuff goes on in the world.

So there. I think I’ve sufficiently covered the topic of introduction without revealing very much about myself, so it seems my work here is done for the week.

MISSION............................................COMPLETED

Edit: I just discovered Malcom in the Middle was actually from 2000-2006. Who would've guessed? Probably anyone bothered to Google it.

First Official Blog Post, No Pressure

Hello to you all! My name is Danielle Olavario, and I'm cutting the red ribbon on this collab blog. *insert applause here* As you can probably tell, my day is Tuesday, and rest assured that I will be coming to you every Tuesday from now until forever. Well. Not until forever probably, but we're hoping.

This week's theme is introduction, so let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I am 16 years old, asian, hailing from the islands of the Philippines, and I am freakishly short, which has been a point of both pride and insecurity for me at different times of my life. I have black hair, dark brown eyes, and tanned skin, and I wear dresses and skirts most of the time. Also heels.

I like reading. John Green is my favourite author and my favourite of his books is Paper Towns, which also happens to be my favourite book ever. I'm also a huge, huge, Harry Potter fan (I'm a Slytherin), and also a massive Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fan. Right now I'm reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, and when I'm finished, I'm following it with The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I'm also a huge blogging person so I read a lot of blogs like goodnightlittlespoon and Joseph Birdsong's blog, and I love the online magazine Rookie. I like travelling. In May of this year, I went to my second official travel trip ever (the first being the trip from my home country to Ireland). It was a school trip to Rome, and aside from falling in love with the city (it's now my favourite place in the world), I also realised how much I love travelling and seeing new places. I like TV. Before I was fairly certain that Doctor Who is my favourite TV show, but it's questionable at the moment (MOFFAT!). I also really love Sherlock and Daria. Over the summer I have gotten into a lot of reality TV, and some of my favourites are Project Runway, Made in Chelsea, and America's Next Top Model. I also love Friends (obviously) and other comedy shows like How I Met Your Mother and Community. Currently I'm storming through Clarissa Explains It All and Parks and Recreation. Both of which I enjoy very much. I like watching videos on Youtube. I love seeing little bits and pieces of another person's life, it's just really interesting to me. I did clean up my sub box recently though so I'm subscribed to only 20 people at the moment from about 170 people. Some of my favourite youtubers are missxrojas and of course the vlogbrothers (I'm a nerdfighter in case that's not obvious yet), and also Joseph Birdsong. At the moment I'm watching every single fiveawesomegirls video from the very beginning, which I only decided to do today, so that's that. I really like writing, although I don't really think I'm very good at it. It is something that I enjoy doing though. I have my own personal blog, danielleolavario, and this year I'm going to try and do BEDA (blog everyday in August) with Kate, who you'll be meeting tomorrow.

That's enough for me now I think, we'll get to know each other better as the weeks go by anyway. Now excuse me, I have a fiveawesomegirls appointment to go to.

Kate, I'll be reading your blogpost tomorrow.

GOOGLE TOLD US TO HAVE FUN

Hello colleagues and welcome to our blog! This is the introduction post. You can tell because it's the first one.

What I am about to tell you is some intro information shiz and things. We're off to a good start.

First of all. What this is, is a collab blog between us friends. We are doing this because we want to and we have the resources to do so. The current definite members are Kate, Danielle, Caitlin, and Aoife. If you have been directed to this post though, it's probably because we are asking you to join in, an invitation which you can either accept or decline. (You should probably accept because one of our members is a Slytherin. And one is a mother fucking Gryffindor and don't you forget it)

Each member has a set day in which she (or he, who knows) will write a post that is related to the chosen theme of the week. How do we choose the theme? I don't know, but we do. Failure to post a blog post relating to the theme of the week at one's set day will result to a punishment for that person. The type of punishment will be decided by the rest of the group, and the person for which the punishment has to be carried out for has to write a blog post about that punishment before her set day on the next week. In short, the person has to write two blog posts that week, one regarding her punishment, and one for the theme of the week.

Here are a list of the set days of our definite members:
  • Danielle- Tuesday
  • Kate- Wednesday
  • Caitlin- Friday
  • Aoife- Saturday
  • Orla- Sunday
The current definite members will start the blog activity as soon as they have everything sorted out. New members can join in at any time at all. If a new member joined in when the current members are writing a specific themed post, the new member can take that week to write their introduction post. Their first official week will be the week after they wrote their intro post.

And that's about it! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you accept the invitation if we invited you in. We would be incredibly happy to have you in our collab blog.

Sincerely yours,
Current Blog Members Danielle, Kate, and Aoife
